Visit or Volunteer at a PASA Member Sanctuary

Visit a Wildlife Center | Do you want an unforgettable experience with humankind’s closest relatives – apes and monkeys? Visiting one of the many PASA member wildlife centers across Africa can be a life-changing experience. Many of the centers offer programs and tours tailor-made to help you understand and appreciate monkeys, chimpanzees, gorillas, and bonobos; to see how and where they live, and to recognize the threats we humans pose to their very existence.

Volunteer | If you have the time and – let’s face it – the stamina, think about volunteering at one of the 14 sanctuaries that are actively looking for help. While most sanctuaries are happy to have professional help from animal care experts, nearly all are also looking for help with the day-to-day roles of feeding and caring for the animals and maintaining the sanctuary. Roughing it in the wild isn’t for everyone, but it can be an amazing, rewarding way to help protect African primates and gain invaluable work experience.

Veterinary Volunteers | In particular, if you’re a veterinarian who wants to work first-hand with African primates and gain experience with wildlife, volunteering at a PASA wildlife sanctuary can be a win-win situation. You can provide greatly needed veterinary care for the animals and training for the staff, and, in return, you’ll have an invaluable experience and strengthen your skills.

Volunteer with PASA | If you’d rather volunteer from home to help rescue African primates and protect them from extinction, please consider joining PASA’s team of volunteers around the world. We’re always in need of people with skills in writing, fund-raising, marketing, social media and many other areas.

Finally, there is one sure way to make a difference … please donate today.

We can't do it without you

Thank you for joining the movement to protect primates!
